Well, it took me quite a while, but I have now realized why I keep missing when the School Board publishes the minutes of their meetings. The problem is that they don’t publish the previous meeting minutes until such are approved at the following meeting. I know, this seems like a no-brainer, but I suppose that I have been spoiled by how Newark’s City Council publishes their minutes. I’ve learned that every time Council posts a “revised” agenda the document is always unavailable online. Interestingly, the School Board posted their agenda for tonight’s meeting (which I will have to miss because of plans I made with my children) and in the agenda – as you will see – there were a number of “special meetings” which I had not previously heard about (and for which no agendas were ever made public). On the campaign for School Board, of the 150 signatures I know for sure that I want so as to guarantee that I get on the ballot this November, I have 122. I’m hoping to gain 20 signatures by the end of this week. Regarding the documents from our local government, for whatever reason the City is running behind schedule in publishing them.
