I managed to attend last Monday’s School Board meeting. Rather uneventful, but I learned a bit about our progress in increasing our graduation rate as we inch closer to 90%. Quite an accomplishment for the schools and students of Newark. Of course, the graduation rate is only one piece – albeit an important one – of bigger education puzzle. More work to do, but happy to celebrate good news regardless.
