I hate to say it, I really do, but I have to miss a third consecutive council meeting. Car broke down over the weekend and that has to be my primary focus of today. Either way, there are so many important things going on in the City as of late that I want to comment about. I was reading through the agendas for tonight and saw that a piece of legislation being considered is a change in the Clerk of Council position to add the responsibilities of clerking for the Planning Commission. I’m also interested in the new proposed pay raises for our police and fire chiefs (I, as noted, opposed the pay raises the city just gave to the city officials just elected two months ago…but I will touch base more on that in an upcoming letter to the editor). Anyways, I hope everyone has a good day. Please attend this meeting, if you can.
